String Quartet in E

This quartet is about 20 minutes long, and is in three movements. The style is tuneful and contrapuntal, intended to be quite romantic. The first movement is quite difficult even for experienced amateur chamber musicians to play (needs careful rehearsal), but the second and particularly the third movements are easier.

The quartet may be downloaded as MIDI files which you can play on your computer, e.g. using Winamp media player. You can choose which movement (if any) to play as backgound music (default is 2nd Movement) using the controls at the bottom of the page.

The score and parts are available to download as PDF documents, which may be viewed and printed using Acrobat Reader.
